Dr Angel So acquired her Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Catering Management and Master of Science in Hotel and Tourism Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). After working in the hospitality and tourism industry as well as the educational field, she further pursued the Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management at PolyU. She is also a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) of The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.

Having worked for several years in the hospitality industry, Dr So possesses extensive experience in hotel and clubhouse management as well as sales and marketing, particularly event and accommodation business. She was also a member of the start-up team of a new hotel where she was responsible for corporate business, global distribution services (GDS), online travel services, and yield management.

In order to contribute to academia, Dr So has also been active in consultancy projects and research. Her research areas cover hospitality and tourism marketing, customer relationship management and so on.
