Dr Karly Chan Oi-wan graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutritional Sciences and a Master of Philosophy in Sports Physiology. She then obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Sciences from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With keen interest in the area of health and fitness, Dr Chan is a Certified Resistance Training Instructor of Physical Fitness Association of Hong Kong, China (PFA) and a Certified Exercise Physiologist of American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Dr Chan is also a Fellow of Hong Kong Association of Sports Medicine and Sports Science (FHKASMSS) and an appointed lecturer of the PFA.
Before joining HKCC, Dr Chan was a lecturer at The University of Hong Kong and an instructor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, responsible for teaching nutrition, sports nutrition, fitness and resistance training.
Her research interests include nutritional supplement, weight management and exercise performance. She is interested in a variety of sports including hiking, running and different ball games.
