Mr Tony Kwok gained his Associate of Arts in Translation and Interpretation and Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Teaching English as a Second Language from City University of Hong Kong. In order to deepen his professional knowledge in English language teaching, he further pursued the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from The University of Hong Kong. His research and teaching interests lie in code-switching, multilingualism, sociolinguistics, and world Englishes.
Prior to joining HKCC, Mr Kwok has extensive teaching experience at CCCU and SCOPE of City University of Hong Kong, SCPE of The Hong Kong Institute of Education, and LIFE of Lingnan University. He was responsible for coordinating and teaching a wide variety of English courses to Associate Degree, Pre-Associate Degree, Diploma and Project Yi Jin students. He also served as a Research Assistant at City University of Hong Kong for a government-funded research project on Hong Kong English.
As an ardent fan of language and culture, Mr Kwok enjoys learning languages and explores different cultures through travelling in his leisure time. He also devotes much time to church activities. He loves reading the Bible and listening to hymns.
