With her love and enthusiasm for teaching, Dr Rita Kang has been active in the field of English Teaching since her undergraduate study. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, in order to further acquire professional knowledge and expertise in the field of education, especially English pedagogies, she continued to study and obtained her Master of Education degree in English Language for Teaching from Hong Kong Baptist University. After graduation, she widely applied the various English teaching methods she had learned to her own classrooms and achieved satisfying outcomes.

After several years of practice in English teaching, with a passion for education and a desire to study in-depth English pedagogies, she chose to study at Hong Kong Baptist University and obtained her doctoral degree (English language for teaching).

Dr Kang is a life member of the Hong Kong Association for Applied Linguistics. Her research interests are English teaching and assessment, formative assessment, feedback, teacher education, grammar pedagogy, etc.
