Dr Eunice Chan obtained her Master of Arts in Accounting and Finance from the University of Lancaster in the U.K. after she graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with the Professional Diploma in Company Secretaryship and Administration. Dr Chan then pursued studies at the University of Bristol where she received her Doctor of Education. She is also an associate member of The Chartered Governance Institute and The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.
Before embarking on her teaching career, Dr Chen was the company secretary of an international company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. She was responsible for the corporate secretarial affairs and other related corporate activities including group insurance, patents and trademarks. Though moved from a business environment to follow a career in teaching, Dr Chan maintains close contact with the industry by participating in the professional seminars and activities of the professional bodies. She had been a member of the Education Committee and the Chief Examiner (for the professional paper – corporate secretaryship) of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.
Prior to joining this institution, Dr Chan held the post of programme leader and lecturer in a post-secondary college. She is experienced in teaching business administration and management subjects at higher diploma and associate degree level. She also enjoys sharing her professional experience with students and advising them on personal and career developments.
