Output/ Activities/ Achievements

Dr Phoebe Wong is a Senior Lecturer of the Division of Business and Hospitality Management. Before gaining her PhD in Marketing from Lancaster University, Dr Wong obtained her MA in General Linguistics from the University of Helsinki, and MSc in Marketing from the National University of Ireland.

Dr Wong worked as an assistant marketing manager for a Finnish company manufacturing heart-rate monitors for the Asia-Pacific markets. Prior to joining this institution, Dr Wong taught marketing at advanced diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Hong Kong Baptist University, Lancaster University, and Lingnan Institute of Further Education.

Dr Wong’s research interests include symbolic consumption, self and identity, narrative analysis, choice behaviour and price perception. Her work has appeared in refereed journals including the Journal of Marketing Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, Higher Education Research, Online Information Review and Advances in Consumer Research. Dr Wong was a recipient of the “Superior Research-Scholarly Performance Award 2013/14”, “CPCE Outstanding Teaching Performance/Achievement Award 2016/17” and “CPCE Award for Outstanding Research-Scholarly Performance 2017/18”.
